May 17, 2012: LaRosa's Symmetries for two string quartets wins the 2012 Frank Robert Abell Young Composer Competition for New Chamber Music.
May 8, 2012: LaRosa's Symmetries for two string quartets wins the 2012 Smadbeck Prize. The Smadbeck Prize is awarded to the most outstanding composition written by an Ithaca College student each year. Congratulations to second and third prize winners, Matt Recio and Amanda Morrell. Symmetries was premiered by the on April 20, 2012 by the Symmetries Double Quartet, conducted by Patrick Valentino.
